Health and Safety
The safety, security and health of our tamariki is of utmost importance to us.
All of our tamariki and kaiako are equipped with an emergency bag which includes, warm clothes, a torch, comfort food, water, a hypothermia blanket, emergency contact phone numbers and medication.
How to connect with us in Emergency.
Our Preschool building meets the Earthquake safety standards. Should an earthquake occur while we are at the Preschool, we will endeavour to stay at the Preschool as long as we can. We will announce on Facebook and Educa any closures or if we have been advised to move to other premises. We have an emergency pack including pens and paper available at the gate should we, or any whānau and friends need to leave a note to let others know where we, or you have gone.
Educa
Educa is our main form of communication to our whānau in the event of an emergency. We encourage whānau to check regularly for information during an emergency. Depending on network capabilities, Kaiako will also use phone calls and facebook as forms of communicating in addition to educa if necessary -as these forms of communication have also been proven successful for us.
